Education Department

St Raphael’s Hospice organises a range of study days and conferences for health professionals including GP’s, District Nurses and staff from local Nursing Homes, all designed to help increase awareness and understanding of palliative (end of life) care. They are usually held at the St Bedes Conference Centre, a modern well equipped building (just behind St Raphael’s Hospice), London Road, North Cheam SM3 9DX. There is also good parking available.

2013 Courses and Study Days

St Raphael's Hospice has the following course/ study days planned for 2013:

• End of Life Care Course for Care Home Staff

  Accredited by the RCN Centre for Professional Accreditation
  
  This course will enable you to develop core skills and knowledge and apply it to end of life care in your working environment including physical assessment, communication skills, advanced care planning and spiritual awareness.

  Course 3: April 25th, May 7th, 16th, June 4th & 13th 2013
  Course 4 – 9th, 23rd October 2013, & 5th, 18th, 26th November 2013

  Cost: £100 including refreshments
