Ways to offer your support

in memory donations

A great deal of support for the hospice comes in donations that a given in memory of a loved one.

All donations should be sent to St Raphael’s Hospice with full details of the person sending the donation, and if in memory of someone marked with their name.

Very often, the first financial support that the hospice receives is when someone has died, and the family ask for donations to St Raphael’s Hospice instead of flowers at the funeral.

We have a supply of special printed donation envelopes, available on request, that are suitable to be given to friends and relatives to make their own donation.

Donations Envelope

There is also a separate website called In Lieu of Flowers which has a lot of useful information. We suggest that you read through this, if you need any other information please get in touch with St Raphael’s Hospice – 020 8254 2450 or email: fundraising@straphaelshospice.org.uk

We sent an acknowledgement and thanks to each individual to donates, if we have their contact details.

We usually also send a list of those who have donated to the next of kin or an appropriate family member, about three months later. This is to allow time for donations to be received and recorded. That is shows the names of the donors, and the total received (but not the amount of individual donations).

Tribute funds

We have “Tribute Funds” which are named in honour of the individual being remembered. These are intended for relatives or families who would like to continue making donations or fundraising for St Raphael’s . A leaflet is available which explains all you need to know

Since their inception in 2005, Tribute Fund donors have raised well over £100,000 for St Raphael’s and continue to support us every year
