How can I access the Jubilee Centre?
The Jubilee Centre is exclusively for the use of people referred to St Raphael's Hospice. You can be referred to the Jubilee Centre by the Clinical Nurse Specialist who visits you in your home, by the nurses on the In Patient Unit, or by any member of the Psychosocial Team.
How does the Jubilee Centre Work?
Once you have been referred to the Jubilee Centre you can choose to access two sessions a week. A program of activities to choose from will be given to you.
Sessions are organised in the morning from 10:00 – 13:00 and in the afternoon from 13:30 – 16:00. You can choose any two sessions or you can choose to only attend one session per week.
How do I access my choice of sessions?
We want you to choose what you want to participate in, so we are asking you to telephone the Jubilee team on 020 8099 1724 or 020 8099 1722 on either Friday or Monday to book your chosen sessions. There will be a member of the team to take your calls between the hours of 11:30 – 15:30 on both days. If these times are not convenient for you, you can call the Jubilee Centre on the above number, and leave your request on the answer phone. These calls will be picked up by a member of the Jubilee Team and your sessions booked.
How can I get to the Jubilee Centre?
If you are able to get to the Jubilee Centre on your own we would encourage you to do so. If you are unable to get yourself to the Centre we are able to offer limited transport which is provided by our team of dedicated volunteers. We also have the use of a mini bus for people that cannot get in or out of cars easily or use wheelchairs. If transport is required this must be booked on a Friday.
We are able to offer therapy sessions (gentle massage, reflexology and aromatherapy) to our patients. These sessions need to be pre-booked.
We look forward to welcoming you to the sessions of your choice in the Jubilee Centre.
