Come Springtime, we hope to lift the hearts of all who visit the Hospice with a vibrant splash of colour on the grassy area by the main entrance. We are planting 10,000 crocus bulbs in late October and you can help!

UPDATE - a message from our gardener, Pete Morris, who led a team of fantastic volunteers to get the bulbs planted....

"The bulbs are in, the lawn is laid and we now wait, praying the foxes and squirrels don’t do much damage to the new lawn and bulbs.

Thank you to you all for your encouragement, thanks and support during the last two weeks. It was hard work but we couldn’t have done it without the fantastic volunteers who helped prepare the ground, planted the bulbs and helped lay the lawn. Thanks also to Mel & Ginny for feeding us all with biscuits, tea and lunch over the planting days! It was a great team effort and I look forward to the spring to see the impact it has.

The volunteers said how much they enjoyed being part of a bigger project and working together getting to know people whom they would otherwise not speak to, so this was another positive and something we can look to do more of as and when the Covid climate allows!"

Our plans to enhance our gardens are just beginning - Please sponsor 10 bulbs for £10 and help us with our plans to keep improving the Hospice into the future - Thank you all.
