7th - 20th September 2020

A number of local solicitors have very kindly agreed to give up their time for free to write or change a standard Will for you. In return, they ask that you make a donation to support the work of the Hospice.

There is no set amount that you are required to give. However, each solicitor works independently and while many will leave it up to you to decide how much you would be comfortable giving, others may set a minimum donation. Please discuss this with your chosen solicitor.

To take advantage of Make Your Will Fortnight, simply register your interest by contacting our Supporter Care Team below. We will send you a list of this year’s participating solicitors. You will need to contact your preferred one directly to make an appointment. They will help you throughout the process. All of the solicitors participating are willing to offer virtual appointments due to the current pandemic, if this is something that you are interested in please let them know straight away.

If your Will is not “Standard” (i.e. involves tax or other specialised legal advice) the solicitor will advise you beforehand and agree a fee with you before going ahead.

There is no obligation to include the Hospice in your Will, but if you do choose to leave a gift, be it large or small, it would be very much appreciated. Last year, the legacies we received ensured that we were able to deliver all our vital end of life care for 2 ½ months.

So don’t put it off any longer. Secure the future of your loved ones now!
