About Professional Training

Our programme of education and training covers a wide range of topics, designed for those working in health and social care who have an interest and are involved in providing care and support for people with palliative and end of life care needs. Topics include clinical skills in end of life care, symptom management and care in the last days of life.

We also offer a range of communication skills training from foundation level sessions supporting sensitive conversations and advance care planning to the two-day advanced communication skills training and refresher days.

If you would like to discuss bespoke sessions for your team or if you have specific end of life and palliative care education needs, please email education@straphaels.org.uk. At a small cost, these sessions can be tailored to the needs of your team, can be delivered online, at your organisation or here at St Raphael’s Hospice.
