Trusts & Foundations

Trusts & Foundations are a cornerstone of what makes St Raphael’s possible. We simply could not do what we do without their support.

We love to partner with these charities, whether big or small, to innovate, to improve, and to ensure our services for all in need into the future

To show the importance of what charitable foundations can let us achieve here at St Raphael’s, we want to highlight our partnership with The City Bridge Foundation.

The City Bridge Foundation was set up as part of Bridge House Estates, the owners of five of London’s most iconic bridges, founded in 1122. Their primary purpose remains to be the custodians of these water crossings, but since 1995 they have also been committed to charitable work across the capital, giving out over £840 million so far to worthy causes.

For the last year they have been the lead sponsors of our Wellbeing Services. Our much-loved community hub St Bede’s hosts an array of activities for anyone who wants to attend. These include group wellbeing sessions, with activities such as arts and crafts, music appreciation, and armchair yoga, and the 8 week Living Well Programme, designed to equip people with the tools they need to improve their wellbeing. Examples of sessions we offer include light exercise, managing breathlessness, and practical and financial support. The City Bridge Foundation also supports our Compassionate Neighbours project, were we train volunteers to offer companionship, emotional support and practical day-to-day activities for those living in bereavement and loneliness.

We could not do this without the support of The City Bridge Foundation, nor provide our other services without the generosity of charitable trusts and foundations, and we thank all of them for their support.

We have a number of exciting projects which need the support of Trusts and Foundations. Our key areas for focus are:

  • Palliative Care
  • Bereavement
  • Elderly People
  • Communities
  • Volunteer Services
  • Healthcare
  • Medical Equipment
  • Social Welfare
  • Cultural Therapy
  • Spiritual Care
