• A panel of three judges will choose a total of 12 images – one for each month of the 2023 Calendar. From these 12 photographs, an overall winning image will be selected by the panel as well as the top two runners-up images. Our judges are:

    - Patrick Steel, returning judge and local photographer
    - Sara Jane Woods, St Raphael's Director of Income Generation
    - Dave Bradbury, Carer and Wellbeing Centre attendee

More info on our judges here.

  • All images will be judged anonymously within four categories – impact, story, creativity and style.
Please ensure your photo is landscape.

  • The 12 winning images will feature in the calendar along with cash prizes of up to £200. The overall winner will have their image featured on the front page of the calendar and there will also be a social media poll for the people's vote! More info on prizes here.

  • A maximum of three images may be submitted and we encourage digital entries from all forms of camera including mobile devices (JPG files preferred please). Images will be shortlisted to one image per person before being presented to the judging panel.

  • Images must be submitted via WeTransfer – instructions available here.

  • Entrants under the age of 16 years will need to have the consent of a parent or guardian to enter.

  • In your photography submissions, we would like for you to capture the relationship and companionship between people and pets.
