As part of the UK effort to tackle the COVID-19 crisis we are pleased that we have been able to make 6 additional beds available at St Raphael’s Hospice for NHS patients to ease the capacity issues they have. We are continuing to support all our existing patients, both in our in-patient unit and in their own homes in challenging and rapidly changing circumstances. The challenge is going to be financial as well as clinical. We expect that our income may drop by around £1.5m over the coming year. We are a community charity; we serve the people of Merton and Sutton boroughs with expert and compassionate end-of-life palliative care and we intend to continue to be here for our community long after we overcome this period of crisis. In order to do that we need your help. You can help today by making a donation towards our ongoing work here, by getting in touch to set up a regular donation and by joining our lottery. Thank you

The Hospice needs £6 million a year to run, relying heavily on public donations and every act of kindness helps us continue providing exceptional hospice care. Together we can support even more families at the most difficult times of their lives, whenever and wherever they need us.

Some of the examples of how your money could help our patients and their families:

  • £30 provides a reflexology session for a patient or their carer
  • £35 provides time and resources for creation of personalised memory boxes
  • £40 provides one hour of specialist counselling
  • £40 provides one hour of bereavement support for patient families
  • £50 provides all materials to facilitate art or craft session at our Wellbeing Centre
  • £65 provides a patient visit at home

Thank you for your donation!

N.B. If your donation is in memory of people close to you, we would be grateful if you could provide their names in the comment box below.
