As part of the UK effort to tackle the first wave of the COVID-19 crisis we were able to make 6 additional beds available at St Raphael’s Hospice for NHS patients to ease the capacity issues they had. We are continuing to support all our existing patients, both in our in-patient unit and in their own homes in these challenging and changing circumstances. The challenge is financial as well as clinical. We expect that our income may drop by around £1.4m over this financial year, compared to last year. We are a community charity; we serve the people of Merton and Sutton boroughs with expert and compassionate end-of-life palliative care and we intend to continue to be here for our community long after we overcome this period of crisis. In order to do that we need your help. You can help today by making a donation towards our ongoing work here, setting up a regular donation and by joining our lottery. Thank you.

The Hospice needs around £6 million a year to run, relying heavily on public donations and every act of kindness helps us continue providing exceptional hospice care. Together we can support families at the most difficult times of their lives, whenever and wherever they need us.

Crocus Bulb Sponsorship

We have recently planted 10,000 crocus bulbs on the grassy area by the main entrance. Come Springtime, we hope to lift the hearts of all who visit the Hospice with a vibrant splash of colour!

We are grateful to all who helped to prepare the ground and plant these bulbs and also to those who sponsored the project. If you would like to, please sponsor 10 bulbs for £10 and help us with our plans to keep improving the Hospice into the future.
