Giovanna Fletcher, ITV’s Queen of the Castle herself, has shared a celebratory message of support to St Raphael’s Hospice and their dynamic team of local Directors taking part in the upcoming “I’m A Director…Get Me Out of Here!” fundraising event.

In a festive video message leading up to the event, Giovanna says:

“The work that you’re doing to raise funds is so brilliant. It’s going to help everyone at St Raphael’s Hospice to continue the work that they are doing and help the people they are caring for.” She closes the message by encouraging the participants to “go get them and go be great camp mates!”

Giovanna, author, actress, podcaster and presenter, was crowned the winner of 2020’s “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!” and became the TV franchises first-ever Queen of the Castle, with the show taking place at a castle in Wales.

St Raphael’s Hospice are delighted to be passing on the crown on 22 April 2022 at the Old Ruts Rugby Club in Wimbledon. The corporate community of 16 local directors, including the Hospice’s very own Joint CEO, Nick Stevens, will come together in support of Merton and Sutton’s local charity. These brave participants will receive their own version of the TV-hit’s unexpected challenges and “Bushtucker Trials” on the day – from creepy-crawly encounters to stomach-churning eating trials.

One winner will follow in Giovanna’s footsteps and be crowned King or Queen of our “I’m A Director…Get Me Out of Here!” challenge. The public are able to support the Hospice by donating via the events JustGiving page, raising vital funds for families living with life-limiting illness.
