On Thursday 18 April, we had over 20 attendees from local businesses take part in a fun welcome and beer tasting event to officially kick off our St Raphael's Business Club

The Business Club is a wonderful way to bring local businesses together, create networking opportunities and support of the Hospice at the same time.

The afternoon began with some short informal presentations to introduce our corporate guests to the Hospice and explain more about our end of life care in Merton and Sutton and highlight the importance of raising over £6.5 million to keep the Hospice running every year. Speakers included Consultant in Palliative Medicine Jenny Strawson, Corporate Volunteer John di Palma and Learning & Development Strategist Sera Johnston.

We were then very fortunate to welcome Shepherd Neame, Britain's oldest brewer, where one of the company's expert Technical Brewers hosted a fun and immersive beer tasting experience. They donated six different types of beers for the attendees to sample, accompanied by expert advice on tap.

The experience went down a storm and we were delighted to see extra sign-ups and interest from the day.
