Husband and wife, Susan and Mark, completed the 50km Nightrider London Event on the 8th June. It is a circuitous route undertaken at night, that begins and ends at the Lee Valley Park and takes in many famous London Landmarks, such as the Tower of London and Hyde Park. This year marked the 10 year Anniversary of Nightrider London. They rode in memory of Susan’s mum, Maureen Liffen, and Mark’s grandad, John Gwillym.

Susan said: "Whilst Mark is a seasoned cyclist, I have only recently got back into cycling and only cycled on the roads for the first time in my life less than 6 months ago. Poor Mark is used to going a lot faster but we cycled together the whole way and managed a time of 3 hours and 32 minutes for the 50km; we crossed the finish line inside the velodrome together. We have raised £300 for St Raphael’s and just have the last few donations to collect."
