We are a 14 bedded hospice, serving the communities of Merton and Sutton by supporting those with life limiting conditions to live their lives as fully as possible. Caring for people at the end of their lives can be challenging, but it can also be immensely rewarding.

Working at St Raphael’s means being part of a small, friendly and forward thinking team; we work collaboratively and every voice is important. We are ambitious; committed to developing and supporting our staff, whilst providing an excellent standard of care to our patients and those important to them.

This position is a bank position offering a range of shifts to suit your work/life balance, however, we would like you to have availability to work 3 shifts per month.

As a Band 6 Staff Nurse you will be expected to work as part of the multi-disciplinary team and to use your advanced nursing skills and experience to support the provision of excellent care.  Working in collaboration with your Band 6 colleagues, to provide day-to-day support to the team on the ward alongside the Inpatient Unit Sister.

Clinical Nurse Specialist (Community) Band 7

Are you passionate about making a difference to those needing access to Community Specialist Palliative and End of Life Care?

We are delighted to be able to offer the opportunity  to join our Community Specialist Palliative Care Team working across the  Merton and Sutton boroughs.

We work very closely with patients and those important to them, offering complex pain and symptom control, psychological support and emotional support, and offering advice to GPs , District Nurses as well as sign posting to other services where appropriate.

Here at SRH, an innovative and adaptable approach to care is important along with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.  In return you will gain a supportive working environment with ongoing education and flexible working hours amongst other employment benefits.

Have you got what it takes?

Are you a self-motivated and experienced nurse or qualified healthcare professional who is able to join our well established multi-disciplinary Community Specialist Palliative Care Team?

Can you demonstrate skills, knowledge and experience of working with patients with specialist palliative care needs?


Most importantly, are you wholeheartedly committed to and motivated by the purpose and values of palliative care and our patients?

We are currently seeking to a Community Clinical Palliative Care Specialists (Band 7)
