I joined the Advisory Committee in 2015 through my acquaintance with a member of the senior management team, having been aware of how well St Raphael’s was regarded in the local community. I had the added encouragement of my wife and daughters, who were all educated by the Daughters of the Cross.

I had been working locally in semi-retirement, after having spent 30+ years in the chemicals industry, in a multinational corporate environment, in various customer facing technical and sales management roles at home and overseas.

Along with being inspired by the dedication of the whole team at the Hospice, and being an avid charity shopper, my participation in the running of the local male voice choir includes raising charitable funds that currently go in part to St Raphael’s.
