Daughters of the Cross

From 2000 I have represented the Trustees of The Daughters of the Cross. In this role I was the Registered Provider for St Raphael’s Hospice. In 2019, I was instrumental in moving St Raphael’s into an Independent Trust. I am pleased to continue as a Trustee to support St Raphael’s moving forward.

Having been educated by The Daughters of the Cross and inspired by the sisters, I decided to join them. I trained as a teacher, initially working in grammar and preparatory settings. A surprising request saw me move into a special residential and educational setting. I advanced from being a teacher to a headteacher, to administrating a range of day and residential services for people of all ages with severe and complex disabilities. These professional advancements have culminated into the many Trustee and Governor appointments I have had or still hold in Educational, Care and Health provisions.
