Fundraising in your school, college or university is lots of fun and we've got plenty of fundraising ideas to help you. By involving your organisation in fundraising for your local hospice you will make a big impact in your community as well as educating students about the importance of end of life care. You are sure to have a whale of a time doing it too!

Many young people will have experienced hospice care in some way, possibly through a parent, grandparent or even sibling. Engaging these students and others who are yet come into contact with a hospice will help future generations understanding of end of life care.

A fantastic way to start is to set up a charity partnership with us. You can choose us as your charity of choice and support us on an ongoing basis or as your Charity of the Year, for a single year’s support. Our fundraising team would love to assist you with this and can give you plenty of help and advice.

There are so many other ways that your school, collage or university can get involved with the Hospice. You could organise your own event, like a sports tournament, bake sale, house competition or quiz night, your teachers could take on a skydive, or you could simply make a donation.

Organise a speaker

Spreading the word about our  wonderful work is very important to us. Our fundraising team of staff and volunteers enjoy attending schools, colleges or universities to give informative presentations about what is involved in our specialist caring services.

End of life care can be a sensitive topic, so we ensure that our talks are suitable for different age groups. We could attend an assembly, lesson or RAG meeting.

Please do let us know the date and time that suits you as far in advance as possible and we will do our best to organise a speaker for you. We can provide our own presentation equipment if required but please let us know if you are able to arrange this for us.
