Wellbeing Sessions and Services

We have group activities on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in our Jubilee Centre. Whether you want to be creative, active, social or to simply relax you are sure to find something that suits you. Many activities are also open to family members and carers.

Art and Craft

What?

Run by our Art teacher, this group enables expression of thoughts, feelings and experiences through painting, clay, collage and more.

When?

Every Tuesday and Thursday 10:00am – 12:30pm

Bathing service

Expand

What?

An opportunity to have a Jacuzzi bath and relax. We know how difficult it can be to access an ordinary bath at home. This session affords the opportunity to be assisted by a member of our team to be able to have a lovely, relaxing bubble bath.

When?

Thursday afternoon, by pre-arranged appointment

Who?

Patients under the care of the hospice living at home.

Men's Den

What?

This is an opportunity for men to come together to talk about things, play pool or darts and offer each other support.

When?

On Thursday afternoons from 14:00 – 16:00

Who?

All male patients and carers, including post-bereavement carers.

Where?

Jubilee Therapy Centre at St Raphael’s Hospice. We are aiming to have a special cabin for the Men’s Den in 2019. Watch this space!

Outpatient Clinics

Outpatient services are held in the Hospice and allow you to see anyone from the team in a clinic or through a one to one appointment.

When?

Patient and Carer lunches

What?

An opportunity to have a light lunch, socialise and meet people once a month.

When?

Patient lunches - 1st Wednesday of the month.

Carer lunches - 3rd Wednesday of the month.

Dates are subject to change

Who?

Current patients and carers of current patients are welcome at their respective lunches.

Yoga and relaxation

This session run by a Yoga teachers helps people to relax and de-stress. It improves breathing and gives a sense of calm and well-being.
