The session offers an opportunity to explore the reason why syringe pumps are used in palliative care, the medications that are commonly administered and why, how to set up, monitor and maintain a McKinley T34/Bodyguard pump. You will have an opportunity to work through a classroom-based competency.
Suitable for registered healthcare staff who support those with palliative care and symptom needs, and are unfamiliar with the use of these syringe pumps.
