We are delighted to offer this NEW education package specifically designed to support the delivery of end of life care offered by Homecare services.

Book here

The topics covered are:

  • Recognising dying and the changes you might see when someone is approaching the end of their life
  • Considering how you might support the commonly experienced symptoms associated with end of life care (EOLC)
  • Exploring who might be involved in supporting the person at the different stages of their illness and care need
  • Identifying the importance of sensitive communication, and exploring how you might feel more confident during these conversations

The topics are presented across 2 half days, with a requirement for participants to attend both sessions (6 & 20 May).  The sessions are designed for those supporting EOLC needs for individuals in their own homes for example care support workers, their team leaders and Homecare Service managers.

These sessions are currently fully funded, with limited places, booked on a first come first serve basis. Places can only be booked per organisation and not by individuals.  Please ensure that your manager/organisation supports attendance asking them to email education@straphaels.org.uk to request places.

Please refer to our terms and conditions before requesting places and agreeing to attend https://straphaelshospice.eu.rit.org.uk/education-payments-cancellation-and-refund-process
