What is the Schools Entrepreneur Challenge?
Over 10 weeks, from January to March, teams of students will compete with other local schools to turn their £50 start-up stake into £1,500, or more. The project is totally free to join, and we advise groups of up to 6 students per team to take part.
Schools can have multiple teams and we aim to recruit a maximum of 10 schools. Students taking part will have the support of leading business and marketing experts, as well as our friendly professional fundraisers at St Raphael’s Hospice, who will be on hand to lend their advice and expertise throughout the project.
What will students receive?
Each student taking part will receive a project workbook and a £50 start-up stake.
Challenge Mentors
Every team will be assigned a business mentor from a local company who will be there to support, encourage and advise the students throughout the project.
Celebrating success
The project will conclude with an Awards Night, where each school presents their work and results from the 10-week challenge, and a panel of expert judges evaluates their achievements.
