What is the Schools Entrepreneur Challenge?
Over 10 weeks, from January to March, teams of students will compete with other local schools to turn their £50 start-up stake into £1,500, or more. The project is totally free to join, and we advise groups of up to 8 students per team to take part.
Schools can have up to 2 teams, although we suggest only one so that your income per team is not diluted and thereby increasing the chance of your school taking the crowning award of top fundraiser! Students taking part will have the support of our friendly professional fundraisers at St Raphael’s Hospice, who will be on hand to lend their advice and expertise throughout the project.
“It was brilliant to see the group working together and the characteristics we value as a school shine through, throughout the School Entrepreneur Challenge.”
What will students receive?
Each student taking part will receive a project workbook and a £50 start-up stake. On completing the challenge, all team members will receive a badge and certificate of participation. Winners of the award categories will also receive a trophy and individual medals.
Celebrating success
The project will conclude with an Awards Night, where each school presents their work and results from the 10-week challenge, and a panel of expert judges evaluates their achievements.
