Fundraising for your wedding or civil partnership is a unique way to remember a loved one or support your local hospice.

There are so many things you can do before the day and on the day to help fundraise. Read our wedding fundraiser ideas below for how your special day can make a big difference.

Fundraising on your wedding day

Begin your fundraising by telling your guests why you’re choosing to support St Raphael’s Hospice for your wedding or civil partnership by including a message in your invitations.

The message could also include a link to your JustGiving page or online Gift List. Online Gift Lists often include a charity donate option.

If you set up a JustGiving page, you could also include information there about why you’re fundraising for St Raphael’s Hospice

Set up a tribute fund

Organising a collection at your wedding or civil partnership in memory of a loved one is a generous and meaningful way to celebrate their life and acknowledge their absence on the day. By setting up a tribute fund online, you can invite guests to join you in remembering your loved one, while helping to support more people living with cancer.

Guests can give to your fund online and share their memories. In addition, if you collect any cash for St Raphael’s Hospice on the big day, this can either be donated via the tribute fund or added as an ‘offline’ total afterwards.

Cash collections

You could have a collection box or bucket at the bar or cake table and invite guests to give a donation if they have any spare cash. This works particularly well if there is a free bar. Order your collection materials by emailing our Fundraising Team

Cashless collections

If you have a JustGiving fundraising page, you can print out a unique QR code that people can scan to make cashless donations. You could even display this code on a tablet next to your collection box! Find out how by emailing our Fundraising Team
