We simply couldn’t manage without our dedicated Fundraising Groups. These volunteers meet regularly in their local areas to organise activities to raise vital funds. They put together wonderful events from quizzes to swing nights as well as helping with bucket collections and placing collection cans.
You can also support us at our hospice fundraising events. There are always a variety of opportunities to help during events such as marshalling, registering and welcoming participants, selling raffle tickets, serving refreshments, car parking and many more.
Chris Ogden - Volunteer
“Hospice staff have really helped my family over the last few years. It is through their invaluable support and talking to other volunteers, as well as attending Hospice events that I was able to get an appreciation of the amazing work they do; both at the Hospice but also in the community.”
Community Relationship Volunteer
Support our Community Fundraiser in engaging new and existing local schools and businesses from managing bucket collections to sourcing raffle prizes for events.
Events Volunteer
Whether it’s manning a cheering point, helping to manage the start area, or guiding participants, event volunteers play a vital role in making events happen. For some people it’s the excitement of event day and meeting new people. For others, it’s developing new skills. Events are key in helping raise the vital funds for the work of St Raphael’s Hospice.
Fundraising Group Volunteers
These volunteer fundraising groups raise money in their local community by planning events such as quizzes, auctions or music nights. They also help with other fundraising activities such as bucket collections or placing collection cans. You can become a member of your local group or set up your own.
Hospice Ambassadors
These volunteers help to represent the Hospice by attending cheque presentations, delivering talks to community groups such as schools and churches or by attending community and Supporter Group events. Full training will be provided if public speaking is not something that you have done before.
