Applying for a St Raphael's Charity Place

We do have annual charity places in the London Marathon and spaces are in great demand so we run our own application process for these limited places.

To apply for one of our places please use the button below.

Applications are open until  Wednesday 31st July 2024

Applicants will be contacted on Monday 5th August with a decision if they have been successful in being offered a place or not. Registration fees will not be taken until your place has been confirmed.

Registration Fee: £50

Minimum Fundraising Target: £1,950

We'll support you every step of the way with plenty of fundraising tips and ideas, whether you have your own place or one of our charity places. We organise regular meet-ups with the St Raphael’s team, you can join our WhatsApp group for training advice from other runners and we will also provide you with a running vest and fundraising pack. Our dedicated team will be available to offer friendly help and advice.

Fundraising

To ensure that we are able to continue providing our specialist end of life care to patients and families we need people like you. Taking part in events like this and raising as much as you can will help our dedicated nurses offer unique support to many more people in our local community.

If you would like to set up an online fundraising page, you can link your page to our JustGiving Campaign page.

We do ask that you raise half of your target by January 15th.

For further information please get in touch with us below.

I have applied for a public ballot place - Can I still apply for your charity place?

Absolutely!

You can still apply for one of our charity places even if you have applied through the Official Ballot. However, if you are then offered a place through the public ballot, we would ask that you accept that place so that we can offer your charity place to another applicant - that way we can increase the team and raise even more vital funds for the Hospice.

If you were lucky enough to receive your own place in the London Marathon ballot, you can join the St Raphael’s team straight away. You will get one of our vests and support both from us and from your other team members. You will not have a fundraising target but ask to raise what you can.
