In October 2023, Emma embarked on an unforgettable adventure along the beautiful south coast of England, in memory of her dear friend Michelle. Michelle had spent her last days under the care of the Hospice and Emma wanted to raise money in appreciation of the care her friend received.

"Michelle spent her final hours at St Raphael's Hospice, where they did their best to make her as comfortable as possible, and that is why I will be trekking to raise money for this wonderful charity."

Michelle was a special and trustworthy friend, devoted mother and adoring daughter. She was also a doting auntie to her nephews; something that the two friends shared in common, as well as bonding over the unique challenges of raising a teenager! They had plans to go on holiday the following summer, as well as celebrate Emma's birthday together. Michelle leaves behind a loving family and adoring friends who will never forget her.

With her friend Steph for company, Emma completed the 25 mile Jurassic Coast Trek as a tribute to Michelle.

"We all miss Michelle so much and not a day goes by when I don't think of her. I know that she wouldn't want me to cry and she'd rather I did something positive to celebrate her life. Michelle was such an inspiration to me and always encouraged me to believe in myself, no matter what. This is why I chose to take on this challenge; to commemorate Michelle and hopefully make her proud."

Emma conquered the Jurassic Coast and raised an incredible £820 for St Raphael's. She could not have done this without the support of her friend Steph and her parents, Chris and Salli, who accommodated them and helped create this magical memory.

Here she is, trekking from Lulworth Cove to the beautiful coastal area of Studland Bay, taking in the breath-taking views of the ancient Jurassic Coast.
